1. How this policy applies
This policy applies to purchases made directly from CareerTrail AI. Refunds for purchases made through another platform, if any, are governed by that platform’s process. Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
2. Digital-product purchases
Submit a refund request within 7 calendar days of purchase. CareerTrail will review requests involving:
- A duplicate charge for the same product.
- The wrong CareerTrail product being delivered.
- A damaged, incomplete, or inaccessible file that support cannot correct within a reasonable time.
- A charge the account owner did not authorize, subject to identity and transaction verification.
- A product description that materially differed from what was delivered.
3. GED Plus subscriptions
GED Plus renews monthly until canceled. You may cancel through the subscription-management button in GED Learning. Cancellation prevents the next renewal and access normally continues through the end of the current paid billing period.
Subscription charges are normally nonrefundable after a billing period begins, except for duplicate, unauthorized, or incorrect charges; a material failure to provide the subscribed access; or when a refund is required by applicable law. CareerTrail does not provide prorated refunds for unused days after cancellation unless required by law.
4. Opened or downloaded products
Because access to a digital product cannot be returned, a change of mind normally does not qualify for a refund after the file has been opened or downloaded. CareerTrail will still correct a delivery problem and will consider the circumstances listed above. Refunding a purchase may end access to that product.
5. Personalized services
The Done-for-You Résumé Service includes the deliverables, revision allowance, and estimated turnaround displayed before checkout. Turnaround begins after payment and all requested information are received.
- A full refund may be requested before personalized work begins.
- After work begins, CareerTrail may deduct the reasonable value of work already completed when determining a refund, where permitted by law.
- After the first draft is delivered, a change of mind normally does not qualify for a refund, but the included revision may be used for reasonable corrections or wording changes submitted within the stated revision period.
- If CareerTrail cannot provide the purchased service, the customer will receive a full refund.
- Knowingly false, unlawful, infringing, or incomplete customer information may delay or prevent completion. CareerTrail will explain any resulting refund decision based on the work completed and applicable law.
6. How to request help or a refund
Email johnny@careertrailai.com with the email used at checkout, purchase date, product or service name, and a short description of the problem. Screenshots may be included when helpful. Never send a password, complete card number, bank information, or Social Security number.
CareerTrail may request reasonable information to verify the purchase, prevent fraud, or diagnose a file-access problem. A refund decision will be communicated by email.
7. Approved refunds
Approved refunds are sent through Stripe to the original payment method. CareerTrail cannot redirect a refund to another card or account. Banks commonly take approximately 5–10 business days to display the credit, although timing varies by bank and payment method. Original processing fees may not be returned to CareerTrail, but no separate refund fee is charged to the customer.
8. Chargebacks and account access
Please contact CareerTrail first so it can investigate and try to resolve the issue. A payment dispute or chargeback may temporarily suspend access to the related product or service while the payment provider reviews the transaction. This does not prevent you from exercising rights available under applicable law.
